An estimate, not a decision. Not guaranteed.
This score is an estimate built from the bands you selected, not a credit report pull, a lender's decision or a promise of approval or a specific score change. A lender or credit bureau makes the final call. Read the full disclosures.
Bo Knows Funded is an educational tool and community. It is not a lender, a credit repair organization, a law firm or a financial advisor. Funding and credit outcomes depend on factors this site cannot see, including your full credit file and a lender's own underwriting.

Questions
Is this actually free, and how does it work?
Yes, both scores and the membership are free. Bo is paid separately if you choose to work with him after the free analysis call, never before, and never through this site.
What is Bo Knows Funded, exactly?
It is a free set of tools, a free membership community and a free analysis call built for business owners who want funding, better credit, or both. It is built by Donnell "Bo" Bobo, who has helped 3,400+ entrepreneurs since 2009 and facilitated over $50M in funding.
What does it actually cost me?
Nothing. Both scores, the membership, the courses, the tools and the 30 minute analysis call are all free. If you later choose to work with Bo on a paid engagement, that is a separate conversation with its own written agreement, never something this site bills you for.
How does this website actually work?
Answer five short questions for either the Fundability Score or the Credit Leverage Score and get your 0 to 100 result right away, no account needed. Join free to save that score, unlock the credit repair letter generator and the rest of the toolkit, and book your free analysis call whenever you are ready.
Is this right for me if my business is brand new?
Yes. A brand new business usually scores lower on funding readiness and often has no credit file yet, and that is exactly the starting point this is built for. It is not the right fit if you are looking for guaranteed approval or a specific promised score change, because nobody can honestly promise either of those.
What happens after I get my score?
You see it immediately. Joining free lets you save it, come back to it, and unlock the rest of the platform. Nothing is pushed on you, and the free funding and credit analysis call is offered, never required.
How do I reach a real person?
Book the free funding and credit analysis call at any time from this site, or email bo@boknowsbusiness.com. A real person reviews your actual answers on that call, not a script.
How does Bo actually get paid?
Not through this site. The scores, membership and analysis call are free. If Bo can help further, he will say so on the call and any paid work happens under its own separate, written agreement, which is exactly how the law requires credit repair and financing services to work.
Is my information kept private?
Your answers are used to compute your score and, if you save it, to build your report. We do not sell your information. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
Do you guarantee approval or a specific score increase?
No, and anyone who guarantees that is not being straight with you. Every lender and every credit bureau makes its own final decision based on your full file, which this tool cannot see. What this site guarantees is an honest, free read on where you stand and a clear next step.
Do you work with businesses outside Missouri?
Yes, Bo works with business owners nationwide. The free analysis call and the membership are open to any business owner in the United States.
What if I run both scores and get two different pictures?
That is common and useful information on its own. A strong funding score with a weak credit score usually means you're fundable now but paying more than you should. A weak funding score with a strong credit score usually means the fix is in your business setup, not your credit.
Is this the same as BoKnowsBusiness.com?
Bo Knows Funded is a separate, focused platform built by the same person, Donnell "Bo" Bobo, specifically for business funding and credit. It does not replace or change anything about his existing business consulting work.
What states do the commercial financing disclosures apply in?
A growing list of states, including California, New York, Utah, Virginia, Georgia, Florida and Missouri, require specific disclosures on commercial financing offers. This site never quotes a rate, term or specific pricing grid for exactly that reason. See disclosures for the full list and wording.
Can I cancel my membership?
There is nothing to cancel. Membership is free with no recurring charge, so you can simply stop using it at any time, or ask us to delete your account and data.
How fast can I actually get approved for funding?
It depends entirely on your profile. A business with 2+ years, steady revenue and a business bank account can sometimes move in days with the right funding type. A newer business usually needs a few weeks of setup work first. Your Fundability Score points you to which situation you're in.
What credit score do I need to get business funding?
There is no single number. Bank and SBA products usually want 670 or higher, while working capital advances and some equipment financing can work with lower scores at a higher cost. Your score shows which range you're realistically in right now.
Should I get a business loan or a line of credit?
A loan hands you a lump sum for a specific purpose, like equipment or a buildout. A line of credit lets you draw only what you need, when you need it, and you only pay interest on what's drawn. Most owners who are unsure benefit from a line first, because it flexes with cash flow.
What is SBA funding and do I qualify?
SBA loans are partially guaranteed by the Small Business Administration, which lets banks offer lower rates and longer terms than they otherwise would. They generally want 2+ years in business, solid revenue and a personal credit score in the high 600s or better. Your Fundability Score flags this as a realistic path once your numbers support it.
What is FICO SBSS and why does it matter?
FICO SBSS is a small business scoring model many SBA and bank lenders use behind the scenes, blending your business and personal credit data into one score. You cannot see it directly, but the fundamentals that drive it are exactly what this site's scores and courses focus on: revenue, time in business, trade lines and personal credit.
What documents will I need when I actually apply?
Typically 3 to 6 months of business bank statements, a driver's license, a voided check, and depending on the funding type, tax returns or a profit and loss statement. The Document Readiness Checklist tool inside the free membership walks through exactly what your specific funding type will ask for.
Will I have to personally guarantee the funding?
Most funding to a business without a long, strong standalone credit file requires a personal guarantee, meaning you're personally on the hook if the business can't pay. As trade lines and business credit build over time, more funding becomes available without one.
Does applying for funding hurt my credit?
A hard inquiry can cause a small, temporary dip, and several inquiries close together can add up. That's part of why the Fundability Score exists, so you can walk in with a realistic sense of your odds before you apply anywhere, instead of applying everywhere and hoping.
What if my Fundability Score is low right now?
A low score just tells you where the leverage is. The result shows your single biggest lever, whether that's time in business, revenue, banking, or personal credit, so you know exactly what to fix first instead of guessing.
Can I get funding with no revenue yet?
It's harder, but not impossible. Startup focused options exist, usually leaning more heavily on personal credit and sometimes collateral. Your Fundability Score will point you toward realistic options for a pre-revenue business rather than pretending every funding type is available.
What's the difference between working capital and equipment financing?
Working capital is flexible cash for day to day operations, payroll, inventory or a slow season. Equipment financing is tied to a specific purchase, like a truck or machinery, and the equipment itself usually secures the loan, which often means an easier approval.
How much funding can my business realistically get?
It's mostly driven by monthly revenue and funding type, with time in business, banking and credit shifting the multiple up or down. Your score shows a likely range built from your own answers, not a generic number pulled from thin air.
Is a merchant cash advance a good idea?
It can solve a real short term cash need fast, but it's usually the most expensive way to access capital and repayments come out of daily sales. It's worth understanding fully before signing, which is exactly what the free analysis call is for.
What should I do the week before I apply for funding?
Pull together your bank statements, make sure your business bank account is truly separate from personal spending, and check your business and personal credit reports for anything obviously wrong. The 90-Day Funding Action Plan Builder tool inside the membership turns this into a simple week by week checklist.
What is a business trade line and why does it matter?
A trade line is any account, a vendor, credit card or loan, that reports your business's payment activity to a business credit bureau. Without trade lines reporting, your business essentially has no credit history at all, no matter how long you've been open.
What is a Paydex score?
Paydex is Dun and Bradstreet's business credit score, running 0 to 100, based entirely on how early or late your trade lines pay. A Paydex of 80 means you generally pay right on time, and most lenders look for 75 to 80 or higher before treating a business as truly established credit-wise.
What is a DUNS number and do I need one?
A DUNS number is a free, unique identifier from Dun and Bradstreet that your business credit file is built around. Yes, you need one, it's free to get, and it's usually the very first step in establishing any business credit file.
How many trade lines do I actually need?
Three or more reporting trade lines is typically the point where a real business credit score starts to exist. More than that keeps building depth and history, which matters more the longer it's sustained.
Can inquiries actually be removed from my credit?
Sometimes. Inquiries that were unauthorized, duplicated, or that fall outside the standard reporting window are realistic dispute candidates. Not every inquiry qualifies, which is exactly why the credit repair letter generator walks through the reason before drafting anything.
What is the credit repair letter generator and how does it work?
Inside the free membership, you pick a bureau, the account in question, and the reason you're disputing it, and the tool drafts a ready to send letter you can copy, print or mail. It's a drafting tool, not a filing service, you still send it yourself.
Is credit repair legal and is this compliant?
Yes, disputing inaccurate, outdated or unverifiable information on your own credit file is a right you already have under federal law. This site does not sell or perform credit repair services itself, it's a free educational tool, and any paid credit services work is governed separately by the Credit Repair Organizations Act, which requires a written contract and no fee before service is complete.
How long does it take to build business credit from scratch?
Usually 60 to 90 days after your first few trade lines start reporting before a business score even exists, then another 3 to 6 months of consistent, ideally early, payment to move it meaningfully. There's no way to responsibly speed past that timeline, only to waste it.
What are net-30 vendor accounts and should I use them?
A net-30 account lets you buy now and pay the full balance in 30 days, and many vendors report that payment history to the business bureaus. They're one of the easiest ways to start building trade lines from zero, as long as you pick vendors who actually report.
Does my personal credit affect my business credit?
Early on, yes, heavily. Many first trade lines and nearly every personal guarantee lean on your personal file. Over time, as your business file matures on its own trade lines, the two become more separate, which is the whole point of building one in the first place.
What is credit utilization and why does it matter for a business?
Utilization is how much of your available credit you're actually using. Staying under roughly 30 percent of any card or line's limit, and ideally lower, protects your score. Both business and personal utilization affect how lenders view your overall file.
Should I dispute every negative item I see?
No, only items that are actually inaccurate, outdated or unverifiable. Disputing something that's simply true and current wastes time and can look worse to a lender reviewing your history. The Dispute Priority Ranker tool inside the membership helps sort which items are actually worth pursuing.
What is the fastest way to raise my Credit Leverage Score?
For most business owners it's opening 2 to 3 more reporting trade lines and paying every one of them early rather than just on time. Your result shows your specific biggest lever, whether that's trade lines, inquiries, or payment history, based on your own answers.
Can I build business credit as a sole proprietor or single member LLC?
Yes. Your business structure matters less than actually having a DUNS number and open trade lines reporting in the business's name. An LLC or a clean EIN and business bank account make the process smoother, but sole proprietors build business credit too.
